【FAQ】How to ensure batching accuracy in an NPK blended fertilizer production line?

The core of an NPK blended fertilizer production line lies in batching accuracy, which directly determines whether the nutrient content of the finished product meets the standards. Ensuring accuracy requires systematic control from three aspects: metering equipment, control logic, and daily management.

Metering equipment selection: The batching system should adopt computer control and electronic weighing, independently metering each of the nitrogen, phosphorus, potassium, and additives in the BB fertilizer according to their respective proportions. High-precision sensors can control the nutrient ratio error within ±0.2%~±0.5%. The metering devices for each raw material should be specifically designed according to their different proportions to make the batching more scientific and reasonable. Raw materials are required to be in powder or granular form, and clumping is not allowed. The material flow must be uniform and not intermittent.

Control logic optimization: A PLC automatic control system is adopted, with electronic belt scales or screw scales under each silo accurately weighing according to preset formula commands. For raw materials with significant differences in specific gravity (such as urea and ammonium phosphate), a secondary mixing method combining belt-driven layered premixing and a screw conveyor can be used to overcome the impact of different material specific gravities on the accuracy of the proportioning.

Daily Management: Before each shift, the batching scale should be zero-calibrated and the weights checked to ensure that the weighing error is within the allowable range. The accumulated material on the scale should be cleaned weekly to prevent material adhesion from affecting weighing accuracy. A batching record log should be established, recording the deviation between the actual amount of each raw material fed and the theoretical value for each batch. Batches with deviations exceeding the standard must be traced and adjusted. The core of the entire production line lies in the accuracy of the batching system and the coordination of the blender; only through their synergy can the nutrient content of the final product consistently meet the standards.
