Disc Granulator Material Requirements

2025/08/12

The disc granulator's material requirements primarily include the following:

1. Material Particle Size: Disc granulators are suitable for finer materials and generally require a particle size within a certain range for optimal granulation. If the material particles are too large, prior pulverization may be necessary.

2. Material Moisture: The material's moisture content significantly impacts granulation performance. The moisture content is generally required to be between 40% and 50%. Excessively high moisture content may cause the material to adhere to the granulation disc, affecting granulation efficiency; excessively low moisture content may make granulation difficult.

3. Material Composition: The material's composition also affects granulation performance. For example, an appropriate amount of binder (such as 2% to 5% bentonite) may be added to organic fertilizer raw materials to improve granulation efficiency.

4. Material Uniformity: Material uniformity is crucial to granulation quality. Before entering the disc granulator, the material should be thoroughly mixed to ensure uniform composition.

5. Material Chemical Properties: The material's chemical properties, such as pH, should also meet granulation requirements. Certain chemically sensitive materials may require pretreatment to prevent adverse reactions during the granulation process.

6. Material Physical Properties: Material physical properties, such as density and viscosity, can also affect granulation results. For example, highly viscous materials may require adjustments to the granulation disc's inclination and rotational speed to accommodate their physical properties.

Meeting these requirements ensures optimal granulation performance in your organic fertilizer production line, improving production efficiency and product quality.
