Comparison of heap composting and closed fermentation

2023/02/09

Any high-quality organic fertilizer production must go through the composting fermentation process. Composting is a process in which organic matter is continuously degraded and stabilized by the action of microorganisms under certain conditions. The end result is a product suitable for the land. Soil diseases can be suppressed by using well-rotted organic fertilizers. In addition, the presence of antagonistic bacteria after the high-temperature phase of the composting process can lead to high bacterial numbers. Moreover, the organic matter in the composting process is not easily decomposed and stable under the action of microorganisms, and is easily absorbed by crops. At the same time, microorganisms play a role in reducing the toxicity of heavy metals within a certain range. It can be seen that composting is a simple and effective method of making organic fertilizer.

Heap composting is the composting of raw material mixtures into long piles. The compost is regularly turned by a crawler-type compost turner, and fermented and decomposed by natural ventilation. The cross-section of the pile can be trapezoidal, trapezoidal or triangular. Each row is 2-3m wide and 1-1.5m high. The length depends on the actual situation. Composting animal manure is characterized by the ability to place the material closer to the field. And it does not require a special workshop, but the processing time is relatively long.

The closed high-temperature fermentation equipment can transport up to 80% of the water-containing manure to the fermentation manure tank through the conveyor belt. After high-temperature aerobic fermentation, it can be directly processed to about 30% of the safe storage water at one time. The whole process is completed in the fermenter, which reduces the pollution to the environment during the drying process.

The composting fermentation process is so important for organic fertilizer processing, but the required organic fertilizer production equipment is not very complicated. Commonly used compost fermentation equipment includes crawler-type compost turners, organic fertilizer fermentation tanks, and wheel-type compost turners. The output, price, and efficiency of these equipment vary greatly with different process equipment. For more information, please contact us.
