Proper daily management and regular maintenance can significantly reduce downtime of roller press granulator produciton line, extend equipment life, and improve pellet yield.
First, strict control over raw material pretreatment is the most crucial step. Raw materials must be thoroughly crushed to meet fineness standards. Stones, wires, and hard metal objects are strictly prohibited from entering the main unit. A magnetic separator and screening device must be installed at the front end. Strictly control the moisture content of the materials, maintaining a stable range of 18%–22%. Excessive dryness results in poor molding, while excessive moisture easily leads to roller sticking and clogging. Raw material mixing must be uniform to avoid load fluctuations caused by uneven composition.
Second, standardize operating procedures. Before starting, preheat the machine under no-load conditions, then feed the material slowly and evenly. Avoid sudden, excessive feeding or overloading. Maintain a stable and uniform feeding rate during production. Avoid frequent starting and stopping of the fertilizer making machine or arbitrarily increasing the feed rate. Before shutting down, stop feeding first, run the machine under no-load to empty the material inside, and then shut it down to prevent material accumulation, clumping, and deterioration.
Finally, implement daily inspections and maintenance. Daily checks include roller wear, scraper integrity, bearing temperature, and drive belt tension. Regularly lubricate bearings and reducers, promptly replacing aged oil seals to prevent leaks. Regularly tighten foundation bolts and frame connections to reduce equipment vibration and abnormal noise.
Regularly calibrate equipment parameters, adjusting roller clearance and hydraulic pressure to ensure synchronized operation of both rollers. Check screens for damage and ensure smooth material return circulation. Maintain a stock of wear parts such as rollers, scrapers, and liners, replacing them promptly when worn more than halfway.
Finally, ensure dedicated use of the machine to minimize cross-contamination with fertilizers and corrosive materials. Maintain machine cleanliness, cleaning residual material inside after each shift to reduce common malfunctions such as roller sticking, corrosion, and jamming.
