The granulation effect of the fertilizer roller press granualtor is generally excellent, meeting the production needs of different grades of fertilizers. The specific performance is closely related to the characteristics of the raw materials and the equipment parameters.
In terms of finished product quality, the granules produced by the double roller press granualtor are cylindrical, with a regular shape and high uniformity. The granule strength far exceeds that of organic fertilizer disc granulator machines and other equipment, making them less prone to breakage and pulverization, and ensuring good stability during transportation and storage. This equipment can form granules without adding binders, preserving the original nutrients of the fertilizer, making it particularly suitable for the production of high-end fertilizers such as organic-inorganic compound fertilizers and slow-release fertilizers.
In terms of applicable raw materials, the extrusion granulator has strict requirements on the moisture content of the raw materials, which needs to be controlled between 10% and 20%. When the moisture content of the raw materials is appropriate, the granulation efficiency is high, and the finished product qualification rate can reach over 90%.
In addition, the die hole size and extrusion pressure of the equipment are key parameters affecting the granule specifications. The die hole diameter determines the basic size of the granules, which users can flexibly choose according to the fertilizer application scenario; the extrusion pressure needs to match the hardness and fiber content of the raw materials. Too little pressure will result in insufficient granule density and easy disintegration, while too much pressure may cause the granules to be excessively compacted, slowing down the nutrient release rate, and even increasing equipment wear. By precisely adjusting the die hole size and extrusion pressure, granules of different diameters and densities can be produced to meet diverse market demands. At the same time, during the extrusion granulation process, the raw materials undergo mechanical extrusion, which can promote the conversion of some insoluble nutrients into forms that are easily absorbed by plants, to a certain extent improving the fertilizer utilization rate. This is one of the important reasons why it is highly favored in roller press granualtor production lines.
