When the raw material moisture content is controlled within the optimal range of 10%-20%, the equipment is less prone to clogging, the finished product qualification rate is high, and it can maintain a stable and efficient operating state. If the raw material moisture content is too high or too low, it will lead to poor discharge and a decrease in the granulation rate, directly reducing granulation efficiency. In addition, a complete raw material pretreatment (crushing, conditioning) and subsequent screening and recycling system can further improve the continuous operation efficiency of the entire machine.
Based on actual production data, a double-roller extrusion granulator with a diameter of 800mm, when processing a mixture of chicken manure and straw with a moisture content of 15%, has a stable single-machine hourly capacity of 8-10 tons, a granulation rate of over 90%, and can operate continuously for 8 hours without significant malfunctions. However, if the raw materials are not sufficiently crushed (with more than 10% of particles larger than 3mm), even with the same equipment model, the hourly capacity will drop to 6-7 tons. Furthermore, due to increased roller surface wear, the machine needs to be stopped for cleaning every 4 hours, reducing the effective operating time by nearly 20%. For production lines equipped with automatic feeding, online moisture monitoring, and material recycling systems, the raw material moisture content fluctuation can be controlled within ±2%, increasing the equipment utilization rate in the granulation process to over 95%. Compared with traditional production lines that rely on manual control of raw materials, the overall daily capacity is increased by about 30%.
