NPK Blending Fertilizer Production Line Feeding Precautions

2026/06/15

Feeding is the first step in the production of NPK blending fertilizer production line. Proper operation can avoid problems such as material blockage, imbalanced proportions, and equipment damage, ensuring stable production and product quality.

Before feeding, perform pre-treatment of raw materials. Strictly screen materials, removing stones, metal, large lumps, and other hard impurities to prevent clogging of silos and scratching of equipment and screens. Crush and sieve any damp, compacted fertilizer granules to ensure loose and uniform material. Separate raw materials of different types and particle sizes to avoid mixing and affecting proportion accuracy. Control the moisture content of raw materials; excessive moisture can cause sticking to silos and clogging channels, requiring pre-drying or dehumidification.

Follow the standardized sequence and rhythm during feeding. Feed materials sequentially according to the process formula; do not arbitrarily reverse the material order. Control the feeding speed to ensure uniform and continuous feeding. Avoid feeding large quantities at once to prevent silo compaction, bridging, and interruption of feeding. Maintain a reasonable material level in the silos, avoiding full stacking. Utilize the material's own weight for smooth discharge, reducing the risk of compaction and caking at the bottom.

Conduct real-time inspections and observations during operation. Pay attention to the silo outlet and the operating status of the conveying equipment. If slow discharge, abnormal noises, or jamming are detected, immediately stop feeding, clear any blockages, and then restart. Different nutrient raw materials must not be stored in mixed silos or fed into the wrong silos to prevent the finished product from having an unacceptable nitrogen, phosphorus, and potassium ratio. Implement dust control measures in the workshop, equipping the feeding inlets with dust collection devices to reduce dust dispersion.

Properly manage the site and complete all cleanup work. Clearly label different batches of raw materials to prevent incorrect formula application. At the end of each shift, clean the silos and conveying pipelines of any remaining material to prevent moisture absorption and clumping. Before long-term shutdowns, empty all silos to ensure they are dry and clean. Furthermore, operators must strictly adhere to safety procedures and must not approach operating  NPK bulk blending machine to ensure personal and equipment safety.
