Operating Instructions for Organic Fertilizer Double Axis Mixer

2026/01/14

The following points should be noted when operating the organic fertilizer double axis mixer:

I. Pre-startup Preparation

1. Equipment Inspection: Check that the double-shaft blades are securely fastened and free from deformation, and that the bearing lubricant level is sufficient and there are no leaks; confirm that the motor and reducer wiring of the fertilizer making machine are normal and that the protective devices are complete and secure.

2. Raw Material Preparation: Prepare the main ingredients of the composted organic fertilizer and auxiliary materials such as bentonite according to the ratio. Control the moisture content of the raw materials to 25%-35%, and remove large debris and metal hard objects to avoid damaging the blades.

3. Site Cleaning: Clean up debris around the feed inlet and discharge outlet to ensure unobstructed access, and check that the discharge valve opens and closes smoothly.

II. Startup and Operation

1. No-load Test Run: Start the equipment and run it without load for 3-5 minutes. Observe whether the blade rotation direction is correct and listen for any abnormal noises or jamming.  Only proceed with feeding after confirming there are no abnormalities.

2. Feeding and Mixing: Feed the materials evenly using variable frequency speed control. First, feed the main material to 1/3 of the mixing chamber, then add the auxiliary materials proportionally.  Avoid feeding a large amount of material at once to prevent overload; set the mixing time to 5-10 minutes, adjust parameters based on the uniformity of the discharge, and monitor the motor current in real time. Stop the machine immediately and troubleshoot if the current rises abnormally.

III. Shutdown and Maintenance

1. Shutdown Sequence: Stop feeding first, and then turn off the power after the material in the mixing chamber is completely discharged to prevent material residue from caking.

2. Cleaning and Maintenance: Clean the residual material on the chamber wall and blades in a timely manner; check the blade wear after each operation, lubricate the bearings weekly, and perform an insulation test on the motor monthly.

IV. Safety Precautions

During equipment operation, it is strictly forbidden to put hands or tools into the mixing chamber; power must be cut off and warning signs must be hung during maintenance; operators must wear dust masks, gloves, and other protective equipment.
