What precautions should be taken when operating a windrow compost turning machine

2025/05/14

When using the windrow compost turning machine for operation, the following matters should be noted:

1. Inspect the equipment: Check whether all components of the turning machine are firm and whether the screws are loose. Check whether the liquid in the hydraulic system is sufficient and whether there is any leakage. Check whether the tightness of the drive belt is normal and whether there is any severe wear or breakage.

2. Inspect the site: The ground of the workplace must be flat and solid. The distance between the material piles should be over 1 meter, and more than 10 meters of space should be left at both ends of the material piles to facilitate the equipment's turning and rotation.

3. Adjust the equipment: Adjust the distance between the shaft blade head of the turning machine and the ground. The appropriate distance between the blade head and the ground is approximately 5cm.

4. Avoid forced operation: It is strictly prohibited to forcibly drive into the material pile. When the engine is struggling, do not forcibly flip over. Stop walking or slow down instead.

5. Clear entangled materials: When materials are found entangled on the turning shaft, the machine must be stopped immediately for cleaning. It is strictly forbidden to forcibly turn or retreat.

6. Pay attention to safety: When the machine is in operation, it is strictly forbidden to stand around the organic fertilizer equipment, especially around the high-speed moving parts. When stacking, it is strictly forbidden to stand in front of or behind the machine to prevent people from being injured by thrown objects.

7. Clean the equipment: Remove the entangled materials and caked attachments on the stacking shafts of the turning machine. Inspect the equipment: Check whether the turning machine is damaged and whether the fastening bolts are loose. Check the remaining balance of the fuel tank and water tank. Check whether the electrical facilities and circuits are unobstructed and whether the insulation is good. Check whether the tightness of the tracks is normal.

8. Maintenance of equipment: When not in operation for a long time, all exposed parts should be oiled for rust prevention. When placed outdoors, they should be covered. By taking the above precautions, the safe use and efficient operation of the crawler type turning machine can be ensured.
