Step 1: Add the main material first. Add the main material with a higher specific gravity and coarser particle size first, such as well-rotted livestock manure and straw powder. These materials are heavy and have relatively poor flowability. Adding them first allows them to be quickly dispersed by the double axis mixing force, laying a good "base" for the subsequent lighter materials and preventing them from floating on the surface and failing to mix thoroughly.
Step 2: Add the auxiliary materials. After the main ingredients are initially dispersed, add auxiliary materials with medium specific gravity and appropriate particle size, such as bentonite or zeolite powder. Allow the auxiliary materials to evenly fill the gaps between the main ingredients to achieve initial mixing.
Step 3: Add additives last. Additives with low specific gravity and fine particle size (such as microbial agents and trace elements) should be added last, allowing 5-10 minutes for stirring. Adding them too early will cause them to be covered or absorbed by the main ingredients, resulting in excessively high local concentrations and difficulty in achieving uniform dispersion later.
Special handling for liquid materials: Liquids that need to be added (such as composting agent solutions, water, or binders) must never be added first. Wait until the dry materials are fully mixed before slowly adding them through a spray device, stirring continuously. If liquids are added first, the dry materials will clump together to form "wet lumps" that are difficult to break up later. The feeding speed should follow the principle of "uniform speed, batching," controlled according to the equipment model and rated processing capacity. Manufacturers with the necessary resources recommend using a quantitative feeder to precisely control the feeding speed.
